select item from combo box by code (Access 97)

    Hallo!

I have a multi selectable list box on my form. Now I'd like to add a feature that enables the user to expand selection by entering a group name of items he/she wants to add to the selection. i.e. User enters the group value and the program marks the the items, belonging to that group, selected in the listbox.

    Regards,
    Anu

This will take some doing. Essentially you have to examine each item in the listbox and set its "Selected" property.

    Thank You Mark!

I really wasn't able to find out that that selecting an item in multi selectable listbox should be done this way:

    theListbox.Selected(RowNumber) = true

You helped me to get through the help,
    Thanks again,
    Anu

Yeah, Help doesn't always! Sometimes you need to know what to look for first. Like being told to "Look it up in the dictionary" when you want to know how a word is spelled. (If I could look it up, I'd already know the spelling!)
