Animation formatting-en masse

I have a file that has 162 slides in it.
It has the new animated bullets (thanks Genii), but aligning them is a HUGE pain, because everytime I run through the animation I have to wait for ALL of the animated bullets to run their course.
Worse yet, I picked swivel (which is the-most-time-consuming-selection)

Is there a way that I can use an alternate animation on the run through, such as APPEAR, to shorten my editing time?

This would be a great time to use the master. However, these bullets aren't on the master.
good, bad, good, bad, good, bad.
I'll be VERY interested to see if someone else has a solution.
