    File Save gets time-stamp of January 1985 (Word 2000 SR-1 / Visio 2000 SR-1)

I've got two different users, same problem, different programs.

Any File Save gets a time-stamp of January 1985. The Word user just reports Jan 1985. The Visio user reports 1/1/1985. Copying files gets the current time-stamp. The clock shows the correct current time and date.

    Any suggestions?

It looks like something is wrong with VBA installation.

Which version of Windows your users have?

Which date is showing when you try Insert | Date and time in Office application?

As temporary workaround, you can use Date and Time - free utility to change date and time stamps on files manually.

The Word user was recently upgraded to Windows 2000, I believe that is also true of the Visio user.

I'll get them to check on the 'Insert | Date' question.

If you're right, it sounds like the easiest fix is to just reinstall Office?

From Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Office 2000... | Change, choose Repair Office. Make sure that the installation source (CD or network drive) is available.

If nothing is wrong with the Office, it can be problem with Windows. In Windows Explorer (or My Computer), when choose File | New | Microsoft Word Document, what Date/Time stamp of New Microsoft Word Document.doc shows?
