Creating edit payments pop-up form (2002/SR-1)

I want to provide an easier way for users to add/edit records from a subform. I have a subform displaying the current customers payments. I placed a cmd button below this subform that opens up the frmAddEditPayments. This form is layed out with a listbox at the top and the fields to edit below and the buttons OK, Cancel, and Apply below. I'm not sure what to base the recordsource of the listbox and the form it self on.
Here is my goal. The user selects the payment they want to edit from the subform, then click the edit button. The frmAddEditPayments would then open with the listbox displaying all the payments made by the customer with the record the user wanted to edit selected. The text boxes below would display this record for editing. After making changes the user clicks the apply button which gives a visual to the user that the record was edited by requerying the listbox.
Right now I have this edit form opening just showing the payments for the customer in the text fields but not sure how to link it to the listbox.
I hope someone understands what I'm trying to do here.
    Thanks,
    Don
