    Print Defaults (Word 2000)

    Does anyone know how to make the 'draft' option the default for printing in Word 2K?

    Apparently the option will not stick between sessions. Therefore, you have two choices:
    1. Have an AutoExec macro that ticks the option.
    2. Have a print macro that you use to print draft. I would opt for the latter, as it is more flexible. You could assign it to a keyboard shortcut or toolbar button. The macro would be something like this:
    <pre>Sub PrintDraft()
    '
    ' PrintDraft Macro
    ' Macro recorded 3/17/02 by Phil Rabichow
    '
    With Options
    .PrintDraft = True
    End With
    ActiveDocument.PrintOut
    End Sub</pre>

    It's easy enough to record yourself going to Tools/Optons/Print tab & ticking draft output, clicking OK, & then pressing the print button.

    Cheers,
