    XML data in field.How to Extract? (vbscript)

    hi,
    two field, OLD_DATA and NEW_DATA , data store in the field are in xml format.
    I need to extract the data so that i can arrange in the below table structure.
    Field Name OLD_DATA NEW_DATA
    ---------------- ----------------- ------------------
    C1 abc man
    C2 123 456

    pls guide me if i wish to write in VBSCRIPT.any sample code ?

    eg:
    OLD_DATA
    <C1>abc</C1> <C2>123<C2>

    NEW_DATA
    <C1>man</C1> <C2>456<C2>

    Do you mean that you are trying to extract data from an XML file? If the XML file is for a recordset, you can use VB and ADO to open the XML file using the MSPersist provider. Are you asking about VBScript in order to make it work with ASP?

    yes, the data in XML format are store in a field of a table. and i want to make it work with ASP.
    this table actually is audit table, where any changes fields make by user from web will store at this table.

    eg: OLD_VALUE field consists data
    <cust_seq>1234</cust_seq><name>daniel</name>
