Global meta tags (FP4.0SR01)

Hi;
Does anyone know how to add to the list of meta tags that are applied to all pages throughout your site? I can add/change/delete tags for an individual page, but can't find where it's getting the "default" list from so I can add a meta tag to all pages by default. Is this even possible, or can you not add site-wide meta tags?

Thanks!
Dave

I'm not very sure of what you're trying to accomplish ... but I assume that you might be trying to add the same meta tag to the head of all pages on your site (for example the keywords meta tag).

Assuming I have your problem correct ... one way of doing this would be to do a Replace (Control-H, or Edit-Replace), and to search for something HTML code that is likely to be in every page (e.g., <TITLE>), to search and replace in ALL PAGES, in HTML code ... put the meta tag you want first and follow it up with the common HTML code (e.g., <TITLE>) in the replace string, for example (where you would replace KEYW with the keywords you want for your site):

If you have a programming bent - you might want to follow the thread starting <!post=here,91664 >here<!/post> where a lounger came up with a VBA solution.

Thanks both. <img src=/S/bow.gif border=0 alt=bow width=15 height=15> I was hoping there would be a FP setting somewhere, but the search or scripting will work (been commanded to add an Author meta tag to all pages), although neither particularly floats my boat.

If there's several there already, they must be set somewhere, right? It seems only Microsoft knows! )

hmmm - you could also make yourself a template with the meta tags built in - then you'd have them when creating your pages.
