    WinXP not reading Novel login script (WinXP with Novel 3.1)

    I have upgraded a win98SE to WinXP and since then I have had problems connecting to the Novel network:
    - the login script doesn't work at all;
    - local drive is being mapped on top of what should be a network drive and I am unable to change the mapping manually;
    -I get an error message when logging in that I am unrecognized on the Novel server, but when I tell it to try something different (without changing anything) it connects...
    I am not an OS professional, but have had no problem manipulating all my network connection needs (I have administrator-equivalent permissions) on win98. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me to enable me to achieve the same results on the WinXP. (The WinXP help was not very helpful)

    I use Novell Client 4.8.3, fresh download last week from Novell, works fine on Netware 4 & 5 servers

    Thanks for the information, but I'm afraid upgrade of Novel is not an option for us - so I need to try to make it work with the current version (3x)
