    AGP vs PCI

How does one determine if a system has an AGP port for a video card?

Once you open the case, after turning off and unplugging the power, you need to look for a brown card slot on the motherboard. There are several different types so you need to look carefully. The AGP card slot has always been at the "begining" of the card slots. Usually nearest the boards ports. It is set back about 2/3 further than the white PCI slots, and is almost as long. It also has a divider about 2/3 of the way on the slot.
It is not the AMR or the CNR which are small (about 2 inches).
