    Closing Outlook

Outlook 98/Outlook 2000 using Corporate Mail on any OS (as far as I know)
Is there a "good practice" recommendation for closing Outlook? What are the advantages/disadvantages of using 1) File|Exit, 2) File|Exit and Log Off 3) Clicking on the'x' at the top right of the Oulook window.
and what do they each do?
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Closing Outlook

exit and log off closes the mapi hook. the others leave it open for a few minutes.

FWIW, i use the X but i also leave outlook open all the time and rarely close it.

I also usually leave Outlook open all day and then hit the X at the end of the day. No problems.
