    Hello-
Does anyone have a good resource for information on internet connection sharing using a NT 4 server? Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Internet connection sharing

I've done a bit of looking and can't seem to find much that is of help here. What role will the NT box play - will it be the machine that is connected to the Internet, and its access must be shared with other machines?

It is probably going to depend on what Internet connect you have.
When on ISDN, we used to use Wingate on the server - it is a popular and flexible product that is quite easy to set up.
Now we have ADSL and that just plugs into the Hub.

    Re: Internet connection sharing

Thanks for the responses. The NT server will function much like we are using it now as a BDC and file/print server. What we are trying to do is take our existing network connection through our frame relay connection, and use a vpn to connect offices to one another. Since all offices have their own file server, the connections are mostly for administration. Hope that helps.
