    Pivot Tables (Excel 2000)

Hello, I have had trouble in pivot tables when I have tried to drag and drop 3 years worth of weekly data onto the table. That means 3*52 drag &drops. Is there any way that I can do this without draging each individually?
I tried Ctrl and Shift while trying to select fields to drop onto the table.

    THanks

How is your data arranged? Does it have a 'week' column, or a column for each week?

In order to report this nicely in a pivot table, your data should be of the former arrangement.

My Data is arranged like so
Categoryies down the left (about 10) and weeks accross (3*52) with data below each week for each of the categories. Hope that helps. Hope to you can help

    Re: Pivot Tables (Excel 2000)

It would be quick for you to transpose the data (Copy, and on a new sheet, Paste Special, Transpose).

You will now have 10 columns and 156 rows. Put a 'Week' heading above the column which contains your weeks.

Now when you create the pivot table, you will only have to drag 10 catgeories in, rather than 156 weeks.
