Separate forum

IMHO, IE should be a separate forum.
Netscape should be a separate forum.
Other browsers should be a separate forum, tho it will be litely used.

Re: Separate forum

I disagree, it would be nice to see issues with each in one location, to facilitate comparing the two. A simple IE or NC would do well to start off the subject. If this keeps up you'll have posts for separate versions.

Coming from the "Home of the Swinging Chad" I'm shocked, and appalled!

I agree -- one for all! I interchange between IE5 and NS 4.06... each have issues, but I don't want to go back and forth between forums to figure them out.

Re: Separate forum

Just to take up the minority kudgel, I agree with Howard. I have both Netscape & IE & use them both. But the problems are separate...& so are people's expertise. I know it's nice to say that everyone should put in NS or IE in every new post, but you know people won't.

Besides, Howard seems to be losing in every request (emoticons, attachments, etc.). I'd hate to see him get discouraged.

Re: Separate forum

Do you think people would post the question in the correct group and NOT post in both because they did NOT get answer right now or do not know wich one to post it in.
Also Howard would complain if he was hung with a new rope. It would rub his neck raw.

Re: Separate forum

I admit that people could post to the wrong group. But, of course, that would be an arguement to have only 1 forum, and clearly that's not advantageous. I think people know that they're using IE or Netscape just as easily as they know that they're using Word or Word Perfect. After all, we don't have a fourm for "word processers" or "spreadsheets". (I know. The latter isn't a good example because we only have a forum for one spreadsheet.) But we have a forum for each application, plus VBA.

And, yes, Howard would complain if he were hung with a new rope, but only until it tightened. But I have to say, he's usually right about things, if not popular. (That didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.
