    groupwise email (97sr2)

I am building an access app and need to have it automatically send an
email through Novell Groupwise. I came across a VB routine on the web and I
have run a few tests with it. It works well, however I would like to either
    1) bring it into access so I can pull the address and email body from a query, or
    2) find out how to call it and pass the values to it. Any ideas
on how to get this done? Thank you in advance...

A Lounge Search on "groupwise" would have turned up several threads on this, including <!post=this post,1632>this post<!/post> which contains Access code for using Groupwise. Does that help?

I have searched and found the post you mentioned, but our NA said the company that did the GW install did not install the libraries, saying that they cause some inconsistent problems, so the code doesn't run. I did have luck with a VB routine i found, authored by Dev Ashish, though this resides in the VB world, and I am wondering how to pass Access values to it, and run it behind the scenes. Any ideas? Thanks, DP

I don't understand the question. I thought you wanted to run the code in Access. Most VB code can be converted to Access with a little effort but without a link to the article, there isn't any way to tell you how to do it.

Here is the source for the VB code I found...http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0059.htm....The best case would be to have the ability to email through access, and the VB code looks pretty lengthy, even though it works....I am still going to try to get your code working......Thank you
