How can I sort by last digit (97)

I have a file with 3000 lines in which one column has an 8-digit code. The last digit of the 8 represents the control group ID. Is there any way to sort by the last digit in the string?

Create a new column containing just the rightmost character of the code, and sort using that column. If youe code is Column A, the following will extract the last digit :<pre> = Right(A1,1)</pre>

Thanks Andrew! It worked. Not the first time you've solved a question for me so quickly
