    Merge (Office 97)

Is there a quick easy way to do this?? I want to have customer info (maybe Access database) that I can retrieve into a word template. I also need to import billing info (billable hours, hourly rate and comments)
pertaining to these specific clients into this from as well. What's the easiest way?? I'm a newby to MS Office.

    Re: Merge (Office 97)

Go to Tools/MailMerge & use the wizard. A mailmerge consists of 3 parts:
    1. A set of instructions & boilerplate text (Word calls this a main document). It is what you are referring to as a template, but it is not a Word template.
    2. A datasource (in this case an Access table or query).
    3. The resultant merged document.

If you follow the instructions in the wizard, you can use Access as your datasource.
