    SectionManager (VBA/Word/97/97/2000)

    Hi All,

I'm in the middle of converting an old Word95 Template to Word 2000. In doing so I found a module in the file called SectionManager. It looked more professional than the rest of the macros and after searching on the internet I found out that this was a sample macro included with Word6.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a VBA version of this macro. I'd rather not leave it in there with all that Wordbasic stuff if I can avoid it, besides it seems to freeze up Word randomly when I use it. I don't relish the thought of rewriting it though. Does any one know if this one has been rewritten to VBA and if so where I might find it?

    Regards,

    Peter

SectionManager was also distributed with Word 97 in the Layout7.dot file. Maybe they fixed some of the bugs there that you have been having. HTH --Sam

    Sam,

I had seen that information somewhere else, but I've searched my Office97 CD with no luck. I have the Office 97 Professional CD. Is it on a different version (Developer perhaps?).

I've also searched the Microsoft Website (using MSDN search and also Knowledge Base search) with no luck.

If you happen to have it around somewhere I would very much appreciate getting it.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Francois,

I had found that file already. However that is the Wordbasic version.

In a few places (including the message you directed me to) I found a reference to a file called Layout.dot, that supposedly came with Office 97. I'm hoping this will be a VBA version of this section manager code so I can avoid having to rewrite it.

If you know where I can find a VBA version of this code I would very much appreciate it.

I have Office 97 Developer Edition but it is not on any cd's of it.
I found it on the Office 95 edition, but Word 95 = WordBasic.
So I think I can't help you futher, Sorry

I'll look, but it will take a while. CD is locked-up or destroyed. --Sam
