<hr>Windows 2000 Configuration
Right Click on "My Network Places"; then click on "Properties"
Double Click on "Local Area Connection"
Click on "Properties"
A screen should come up showing your NIC card
Click the "Install" button Select "Client" from the list and click "Add"
Select "Client for Microsoft Network" and click "OK"
If prompted to reboot computer, click "No"
Click the "Install" button again Select "Service" from the list and click "Add"
Select "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" and click "OK"
If prompted to reboot computer, click "No"
Click the "Install" button again Select "Protocol" from the list and click "Add"
Select "NetBEUI Protocol" then click "OK"
Then click "Close" if applicable and reboot computer
Right Click on "My Computer"
Click on "Properties"
Select the "Network Identification" tab
Click on "Properties" and type in a computer name
Select Workgroup
Click on the Network ID button
Follow the Wizard.
Reboot

Windows 98 Configuration
Right Click on "Network Neighborhood"; then click on "Properties"
Click "Add"
Select "Client" and click "Add"
Select "Microsoft" then "Client for Microsoft Networks" and click "OK"
You may be prompted for your Windows 98 CD; if so, put it in the drive If prompted to reboot computer, click "No"
Click the "Install" button again Select "Service" from the list and click "Add"
Select "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" and click "OK"
If prompted to reboot computer, click "No"
Click "Add" again Select "Protocol" and click "Add"
Select "Microsoft" and then "NetBEUI"
Then click "OK"
Click on the Identification Tab and give your computer a name
Reboot computer
Right Click on "Network Neighborhood"; then click on "Properties"
Click on the "File and Print Sharing" button
Select both buttons and click "OK"
Reboot your computer.

Now the shares need to be set up.

Windows 2000 Configuration
Just right click on the folder you wish to share and select "Sharing" and give it a name
Double click on "Network Neighborhood" and you should see the other computer and the local computer

Windows 98 Configuration
Just right click on the folder you wish to share and select "Sharing" and give it a name
Double click on "My Network Places" then "Computers Near Me"
You should see the other computer and the local computer <hr>
