Can't use db because of error message (Access 2000)

I'm using a custom written MS Access 2000 program on a
Win2K pc with nearly all of the Microsoft patches
installed. It is designed with numerous forms and click
    buttons for easy navigation.

However, under most of these routines, when I go to the
2nd or 3rd level of a form and click a button to perfom a
function, an error box pops up with the following message.

"The expressions On Click you entered as the event
property setting produced the following error: Object or
class does not support the set of events."

I can run this Access 2000 program on another Win2K pc
(with all the same patches) in another office without the
    errors.

Any ideas what is preventing me from using the db
program? I have re-installed Access. I have run the
Office 2000 repair function from the Office 2000 CD and I
have run Norton Utiltities WinDoctor but still have the
    problem.

    Thanks.

I can only suggest you check your References, to make sure none are marked as "Missing". Open a module, or go to de######, then from menu bar select Tools|References. If any are "Missing", then clear the checkmark, close the box, open it again, then check them.

In addition to Mark's suggestion, do you have any custom references, such as a reference to an MDB or MDE? Those may not be MISSING, but removing and browsing to them again can cure some obscure behavior as well.
