    when i press TAB the cellpointer jumps about 10... (97)

    ...cells to the right, rather than just to the next cell.

    Only thing that I can think of off-hand is to check if the Worksheet is protected. Tab will move between unlocked cells only

    Tools, options, transition, uncheck "transition navgation" keys.
