    Detect Double-Click in a PivotTable (97 Sr-2)

    Hi and thanks for help.

In a pivottable, how can I programatically determine what would normally happen on a double-click?

The procedure I am trying to build should only run when the double-click occurs on a data cell (I.O.W., when user attampts to perform drilldown).

I do not want the procedure to run if they double-click a label along the top/side of the PT, nor do I want it to run if they double-click one of the "Grand Total" labels.

Since Excel displays different results for these three siutations, I assume I can test and determine where the double-click takes place in relation to the PT fields, etc. but am going crazy trying to figure out how.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.
    Howard.

You can put code in the WorkSheet BeforeDoubleClick event routine. The Target parameter to that routine tells you which cell was double clicked.

Thank you so much! I had been fighting with that all day.

    Thanks again.
