    Internet Information Services

I am using W2K with Service Pack 2 and have installed Security Patch 1 (w2ksp2srp1.exe).

I now need to install the Internet Information Services (IIS) component.

If I install this, are some newer files going to be overwritten with older versions, or did these two service packs leave IIS alone?

    Re: Internet Information Services

In any case, security patches for Windows 2000 (and XP) are installed as Hotfixes, that means, they will re-apply themselves each time covered files versions changed to older. You can see it - it is in your %WINDIR%Installer folder.

You can add and remove any Windows components without re-applying patches - untill SP3 or SRP2 will be posted.
