    Headings (Word 2000)

I seem to have a problem with my headings. I have set the style for Heading 1 to have a space of 12 pt below and Headings 2 and 3 have 6 pt above and 12 pt below. This is fine when the heading is followed by text or follows text. However, if Heading 1 is followed by Heading 2 or Heading 2 is followed by Heading 3, the 6 pt above is lost. Do I have to set something to stop this happening? Any help would be much appreciated. <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

    Re: Headings (Word 2000)

This is actually the default setting in Word. Often, you will have too much spacing unless Word uses only the greater setting. However, if you wish to change this, go to Tools/Options.../Compatibility tab & (I'm paraphrasing as I don't have access to Word 2000 right now), "Don't use HTML paragraph spacing". Change this option & it should work like earlier versions.

    Cheers,
