slides + CD (PowerPoint 2002 (XP))

I'm putting together a PowerPoint show for use as guests arrive for a wedding. The church has an excellent projection system. I'd like the slides to run repetitively (easy to do) and a music CD to start when the slides start and also run repetitively, but not restarting until the last track is played.

I've tried every combination I could think of, but the CD always restarts when the slides restart. Can anyone tell me how to decouple the slide restart from the CD restart?

    Thanks.

Seeing as no-one has produced a technical solution...

Since you just need to start the CD once and stop it once, why not manage the CD play completely independently of the PowerPoint presentation?

Thanks -- that's what I plan to do as a backup, unless I find the other solution. Actually, I need the CD to continue running (restarting as necessary) until the bride arrives, which is somewhat unpredictable these days. That's why I hoped to have it tied to PowerPoint so that I can shut both down at once, with a mouse click.
