I have recently installed Crystal Reports 7 on my XP machine, and now I receive an error when trying to define a new report based on a MS Access 2002 database. The error message reads: "IDAPI Error: Cannot locate ODAPIxx.DLL".
If I convert the Access-2002 database (Access is configured to use the 2000-format, so I guess it actually is a 2000 file) to an Access-97 database, Crystal Reports continues in the wizard - but I would prefer to keep the database in 2000-format.
Searching the knowledge base at Crystal Decisions does not reveal any known issues. I know there is a newer (more XP-related) version of Crystal Reports, but I don't have it ...
Any good ideas?
