    Outlook (2000)

I am using OE as my main e-mail client on two computers. On one computer one account is set to keep the e-mail on the server, until I get to the office where I read it and answer. (Spam excluded..lol) Here is my question. Every month, I import all of my e-mail from 2 computers into one computer, into Outlook. I am following the instructions for importing, but what happens is that I end up with duplicates. I have tried to figure out a way around this, but am having limited success. Any suggestions and or ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi John:

I think what would help here is if we have a little more information as to why you have this current setup. I suspect you're using a screwdriver to hammer in a nail right now, but with a few more details i.e. why you use OE as your client and then import into Outlook, are you operating in an corporate environment and accessing corporate mail from a server from home, that kind of thing. I'm sure someone could give you some suggestions as to a software utility you could try, or some complicated process, but I'm betting dollars to donughts there's an easier way to accomplish your goals. <img src=/S/angel.gif border=0 alt=angel width=15 height=21>

That's a really poor way of doing it. If your server offers IMAP access, use it instead. Then you'll have one shared inbox.

Are the computers connected on a lan? if so and if your server isn't IMAP, get an imap mail server to collect mail and connect to the local IMAP server using OE and OL.
