Images in a table that are 'specified' in a DB (2000)

Each DB record is info about one car - Year, Make, Model, Picture.
I have a web page using an Access DB with 4 columns - in column 4 I want to display a picture.

I want to get this entry -

to be loaded into the the cell from the DB which I expect will make that image display.

What actually happens -
The display in the cell looks exactly like the goal I list above, but the actual HMTL code does it's special magic with HTML characters and substitutes for quotes, greater than, less than. To wit, the code looks like -

I am a real novice at this - I couldn't find any useful "help" nor in my search of the Lounge - but I just don't have any ideas.

I have tried double quotes, single quotes, double quotes outside single quotes, single quotes outside double quotes, brackets (fancy & plain), question marks, pipes, exclamation points, etc.

I don't understand how you're using Access with your webpage. Is it with FrontPage? Are you using a Data Access page from Access?

How are you connecting your webpage to the database?
