I'd like to be able to create a new category list for Office XP using VB or VBA code.

Office XP uses a new format for storing categories. The only MS Knowledgebase article I've been able suggests a mickey mouse workaround, by creating a new message, then adding categories to the new message. Unfortunately, this method seems to fail when a long list of categories is added -- the list is truncated.

I've tried using VB's registry functions, but Outlook doesn't seem to recognize the semicolon-delimited string.

I think I must be missing something -- Geez, it shouldn't take brain surgery to add a string of semicolon delimited strings to the registry, but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to do it.
