    IE5 to Outlook Express (5.5)

Win98 - After connecting via a modem and browsing various websites I find that if I then want to open Outlook Express and check my emails the internet line disconnects? I then have to wait and reconnect?

See if you have the setting to hang up after sending and receiving in the Options, Connection tab.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Although this has fixed the troubles with Outlook Express disconnecting, the other disconnection occurs after some websites have been viewed in Internet Explorer and then Outlook Express is started. It's the opening of Outlook Express that disconnects? Next thing to try I guess is to have them both running and then connect.

"the opening of Outlook Express that disconnects?"
Check to see if it is working "Off line"?
