Combo Box & Navigation Buttons (Access 97)

Someone out there will have an easy answer for this, but I have been scratching around for hours.
I have a Form, containing a Combo Box, which is used to select a record from a table. The combo box works great, I change the Item No, and voila! the associated data changes.

BUT..... If I use the Navigation buttons, to move between records, all the associated data changes EXCEPT the Item Number in the Combo Box.

I know this has something to do with requery, but for the life of me I can't get it to work.

Please help save a receding hairline, before it's too late !!!

You're using an unbound combobox to select a record, which is the only kind you can use for that purpose. Unbound controls don't change their values between records because they aren't connected to any of the fields in the record itself. What is usually done is to null out the value of the combobox after the code runs that finds and brings up the associated record.
