    row width (Excel 97)

How can I make a row width change automatically when text is wrapped? What happens is the text is wrapped and then I can't see it. If I merge the cell with the cell underneath it, I can't see the text in the lower cell.

Select the cell or cells. Select Cells from the Format menu. Click on the Alignment tab, and in the "Text control" section click on "Wrap Text."

It works for me on XL2000. I thought it did on 97 also. Can you attach a sample sheet that we can look at?
