view of a delegated mailbox (Outlook 2000 SR1)

    Hello,

We have a strange problem with Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000 clients.

When somebody delegate his/her mailbox part of it sometimes only the
inbox/calendar or both. The assistant is able to open the additional
mailbox with file open. But, and that's the problem, Outlook can't
open it in the folder display list. The additional shows up, clicking
on it, error "unable to display"

    Any idea?

    Any response is highly apreciated.

When the user gets delegate permissions, he/she gets access to the individual folders as specified. These can be accessed by File, Open, Other user's folder - but this is the part you already know.

To display the folder list, the assistant has to have rights at the top of the tree - i.e. Outlook Today. On the owners computer, right click on Outlook today, and choose permissions, and give the delegate "Reviewer" permission. The rights do not flow down the tree so this is not give the delegate rights to other folders except where already specified.

    Dear Darryl,

I know that, but the problem is the owner of the folder has fields included in his view, which cannot see the assistant and this fields has data in it.
