Programmatically set references (Acc 97 sr2 on 95b)

Is there a way to write an installing script that will copy an .mde file and set references in it?

Of the 7 machines in the network, 6 run win95b and 1 runs NT4 and it need different common control references. I need 1 turned off and 1 turned on.

If so, can someone write it for me (if simple) with relevant blanks to be filled in? If complex, just say so.

What do you mean, "an installing script"? Either the Setup Wizard or a 3rd party installer like Wise or InstallShield will create the setup for you, assuming you have the developer's edition.
