Saving a search of Favorites (XPH)

I'm having trouble in trying to save a search of my Favorites folder.
I've found this very handy, for finding favorites I might have stashed under various names or in
    various subfolders. But ...
now I have a windows XPH computer, and every time I try to save such a search,
what actually results is a saved search in "Local Hard Drives", rather than in
    Cocuments and SettingsOwnerFavorites
and the search actually takes place in "Local Hard Drives" (it doesn't merely look that way in the
    small search criterion window).
I must be overlooking something simple. Right?
Anyone have any tips for me, that work on your system, for saving a Favorites search?
I'm looking for a procedure that works for you in XPH,
so I can just click a shortcut on my desktop and type part of the name (say, "arabic")
and quickly find all favorites with that string in their name.
    Thanks,
    Gideon (yerubal)

Re: Saving a search of Favorites (XPH)

I still don't understand what was wrong with the ways I tried before, but ...
    the following works for me.
    rtStart / explore / favorites / search(toolbar icon) / all files / search
    THEN save the search

    thanks,
