Delayed delivery of email message (Professional Office/2000)

I have tried a couple of different times to have an email message sent while I'm out of the office. I create the message>Click Options> Do Not Deliver before? Then I put in a date and time. Whenever I return to the office my message is still sitting there waiting to be sent. What am I doing wrong? I am on a network. I log off my computer and turn it off when I leave the office. Does my computer have to stay on in order to use the delay delivery of messages? I'm sure this post shows I know very little about Outlook and how a server works! Thanks for your help though. It's great to be able to come to you guys and ask anything!

Re: Delayed delivery of email message (Professional Office/2000)

I know that I have had trouble with this happening if I open and edit the email from my outbox before it is sent. I usually need to hit send one more time after messing with it.

I don't know if there is a server setting that may be stopping this feature from working...but perhaps someone else will.

    Hope this helps,
    Becky
