    Writing a Formula (9.2.2720)

I have a 20 page price list in Excel, and I want to write a formula to change all the prices in a column at one time to reflect a yearly price increase, such as 3%. How would I write such a formula and apply it to this document?

    Re: Writing a Formula (9.2.2720)

In a blank cell enter 1.03
    Edit | Copy
Select the prices in the column that you want to change
Edit | Paste Special | Operation: Multiply | OK
Clear the cell that contained 1.03
    Correct any formats that changed

If the prices were numbers, they will be replaced will new numbers that are 3% bigger. If the prices were from formulas, the formula will be updated to include a 3% increase. HTH --Sam
