    Opening Up Powerpoint Slide Show (2000)

    I'm trying to open up a PowerPoint slideshow from a command button. I have saved the file as a .pps so that when it opens the file it starts the slide show (and I don't see the toolbars on top). Then, when I try and open it up with a command button in Access, it does not open as a slide show, but as a PowerPoint document. Any help would be appreciated.

    If you are using the Shell function to run Powerpoint, try adding the "/s" switch to the command line. Example:

    Dim stAppName As String

    stAppName = "C:Program FilesOfficePOWERPNT.EXE /s C:SlideShowJan02.pps"
    Call Shell(stAppName, vbNormalFocus)
