Opening up PPS from an Access command button (2000)

I'm trying to open up a PowerPoint slideshow from a command button in Access. I have saved the file as a .pps so that when it opens the file it starts the slide show (and I don't see the toolbars on top). Then, when I try and open it up with a command button in Access, it does not open as a slide show, but as a PowerPoint document. Any help would be appreciated.

Sherri, you need to put a /s switch in the command line between Powerpnt.exe and the PowerPoint file spec. This dosn't bother this old DOS guy , but it does makes you wonder why they have pps files I guess the nice thing is that you don't have to use the pps file, the ppt file works also.
