    Limits to change-tracking? (Word 2000 SR-1)

We're using change-tracking as a version control on some roughly 1-MB documents. We filter out certain changes for different versions of these documents. We often have trouble with crashes. Is there a measurable limit to how many marked changes can be handled by Word?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi Bob:
I couldn't find one listed. You can check for some limitations here. I know that it's possible to have too many edits to spell check as you type, but that's not listed either.

    Phil,

Thanks for the reply. I found this KB link which helps answer my question:

    Bob,

Just a note to avoid using the caret as the option for marking deleted text - this forces Word to do the same 'deletions-hiding' exercise, even when the setting to show changes on screen is turned on.
