    Speech Impediment (XP Desktop)

    Hi,

I'm posting this here as I feel it's an OS issue and not Outlook (I hope).

Whenever I run Outlook I get a dialog offering to train my speech utility ... does anyone know how to turn this off.

On the same (roughly) subject ... does anyone know how good the MS speech engine is, I have just brought an L&H voice dictation system (just before I went to XP) and it's slightly frustrating that I may have wasted my cash.

Start | Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Microsoft Office XP... from the list | Change button | Mark "Add or Remove Features" on Setup dialog and click the "Next" button | under "Office Shared Features", "Alternative User Input" click on "Speech" | from pop-up menu choose "Not Available" | click Update, OK...
