    Outlook recieving message from OE in parts... (2002 (XP))

    Twice recently a friend, using OE, has forwarded an email with an .jpg picture inserted in the text.

    My Outlook 2002 (XP) receives and displays these as multiple-part MIME messages. This is a typical lead-in from one of those:

    > Subject: Fw: (no subject)
    > Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2002 06:49:33 -0700
    > MIME-Version: 1.0
    > Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
    > boundary="----=_NextPart_000_00A9_01C1E512.DD8C0E40"
    > X-Priority: 3
    > X-MSMail-Priority: Normal
    > X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.50.4522.1200
    > X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4522.1200
    > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. .........................

    Two questions:

    1) Why is this happening?

    2) How do I recombine the parts using Outlook XP?

    ummmm, is this a true multipart mime message, behaving as expected, not one where it needs combined and decoded .

    Exactly what are you seeing, because this header looks normal for email. Outlook should know how to handle it and present the image for you to open and view.
