How to insert Continuous WAV file in Presentation (PowerPoint 97)

Hey! Need to insert a .wav file into a presentation and have it run continuously throughout the whole slideshow. Tried all the good ideas that you guys suggested in Post: <!post=132485,132485>132485<!/post>. However, the .wav is starting over in each new slide. I'm not sure how to make the .wav part of the background. Tried inserting it into the Master Slide so that it'd be part of every slide, but sound still starts over when you go the next slide. Any ideas?

This is just a response based on a search, because I don't even have speakers on this computer. Also, it is unclear which version of PowerPoint they were using, so post back and let us know if it works:

(Next paragraph is copied from a post by MS MVP Echo Swinford, echosvoice.com )
right-click the sound icon and choose Custom Animation. Set the sound to play automatically, then head to that last tab and tell it how long to play. Crank that "stop after XXX slides" number way up there to allow for going back and forth among slides if necessary. (PPT counts each transition as a slide no matter if you've visited it before or not.)

    Hope this helps! --Sam
