Method 'CurrentDB' of object '_Application' failed (A2000sr1)

After I installed another application (that gives the same error message #) my application gives me this message "Run-time error '-2147024770 (8007007e)': Method 'CurrentDB' of object '_Application' failed" When I go to debug it goes to this part of my code: Set db = CurrentDb()
Does anyone have any clue for me?

Check your references, and make sure one of them isn't flagged as "Missing".

If suspect you'll need to post more code that that single line before anyone can answer your question. If you have dimmed db as a database object, for instance, but you don't have a reference set to DAO, then you'll definitely get an error. That particular error message looks highly peculiar, so I suspect there's more to it than a broken or missing reference.

    Fixed with System Restore

    Charlotte,
Thanks for replying--I think it was a MS Windows XP problem with registering some dll's. We used the XP's System Restore to restore the system prior to the problem and it fixed the problem.

Ah, the joys of Windows XP! We have two XP machines and are constantly running into weird behavior. For example, there is a form in one of our applications that looks perfectly normal on other machines but has its buttons overlapping some of the other controls on the XP machines. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
