History Problem! (6.0)

For some reason the History only retains the current day's sites even though I have it set for 5 days in Internet Options?? Any advice as to how to correct this would be greatly appreciated.

There was a utility, not sure which, which had a section called "paranoia" that let you clear certain lists and caches. I realize it's a hazy memory, but do you have anything like that running that might nuke your history at shutdown, completely independently of IE settings?

That utility is TweakUI. This version is not for Windows XP. The XP version is included in the PowerToys but is currently unavailable (should be available later this month)

    Tony,

Sorry, but I don't understand what you are trying to say here? I do have this utility, TweakUI for XP, and have been using it all along, but I don't recall anything in it that would affect IE History files? If there is a section that allows the user to alter IE History, could you kindly point me to it? and I'll check it out for sure.

Clear the box "Clear documents history on exit"

    Dave,

Thanks for the tip. I looked at that location and that box was already cleared. However, I got an and checked the settings of Norton CleanSweep's "Settings" and sure enough, the box to clean Internet History files was checked. I'm guessing that this was probably the culprit. I'll know tomorrow if that solved the mystery of the disappearing files.
