Outlook and Outlook Express (Outlook 2000)

    Hi:
I am taking some online training and it is set up through Outlook Express. I need the capability to post some notes to myself whic I can do with Outlook but not Outlook Express. Can the two work together? If so, I would appreciate if someone could direct me to some source where I could get basic guidance on how this is supposed to or can work. I mean can I manage my OE mail and newsgroups through Outlook or are they simply made to function independently.
I apologize for such a basic question.
    Thanks <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

outlook and outlook express are two different programs and function independantly.

however, outlook's news capability is provided by outlook express.

is the online training using news or mail?
