    Access2002 Surprise (W98 SR2)

I just installed Access 2002 and was quite surprised when up popped a speech recognition system that got installed along with it . In fact , this text was generated with the SR software! Has anyone else had this experience? Also , my other applications are all Office 2000 and the SR application doesn't pop up in any of them. Must you have installed all Office 2002 applications to incorporate SR? Or is there a way to attach SR to my existing office programs? It also popped up in Explorer V6.0 as witnessed by this very message. <img src=/S/bravo.gif border=0 alt=bravo width=16 height=30>

It's part of Office XP. As far as I know, there aren't any hooks for it in Office 2000.

I don't have Office XP yet, but know that MS has been relentlessly pursuing the development of functional speech-recognition software for YEARS. What DOES surprise me is that you actually got it to work!!
