    Start Menu Shows Extension (.LNK)

In following a series of hints in a magazine to make sure that my email program always showed the extension of attachments, I went too far and made some change that resulted in my Start Menu showing the extension (.LNK .EXE) of items in the menu. Can someone tell me how to undo this one change? (Otherwise, I like seeing the extensions in folders and the like.)

The best is to see ALL extensions. It appears that you may have the settings set to do this. For other settings look in the "View" tab of Tools , Folder Options".

    Hope this will help.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
