    Ratio (2000 sr1)

    Is there a formula to figure the ratio of one column to another:
    A1 A2
    55 110 = 1to 2

    Two ideas:
    1. <LI>Put the formula =A1/A2 in a cell. Set the number format of that cell to one of the fraction formats.

      <LI>Use the GCD function. You must have installed the Analysis Toolpak add-in for this (Tools/Add-ins...).
      Put =A1/GCD(A1,A2) in one cell and =A2/GCD(A1,A2) in another

    How about
    = "1 to " &text(A2/A1,"#,##0.00000")

    ..change the number format to match the decimals (if any) you want to display
