    date format (2000)

    I periodically download a file, and included is a column with dates in the format "yyyymmdd", with no hyphens or backslashes. For example, today's date would show up as 20020425. I do not know if it is in text or a number, but I would like to format it to any of the various date formats included in Excel, such as mm-dd-yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy, etc.
    Any help?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Jeff

    You can insert a new column and write the next formula.
    [blue3]
    =DATE(LEFT(C1,4),MID(C1,5,2),RIGHT(C1,2))
    [/blue3]

    C1= is your date
