    JPEGS and Hyperlinking (97)

We have a PPT with JPEGs. When creating a hyperlink from the JPEG, PowerPoint behaves as if it is allowing the link. If you view it to edit the hyperlink it is still there. However, in Slide Show view the JPEG does not show the "hand" and clicking does not activate the hyperlink. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have not had this happen, but haven't used '97 for awhile. Try a work around of adding a rectangle, Filling the rectangle with your jpg and hyperlink the rectangle.

Thanks for the advice. A few of the instructors at our site played around until we figured it out. A JPEG placed in the clipart placeholder (text area) will not hyperlink. Once the JPEG is re-inserted without the clipart placeholder it works fine.
PS - Only use '97 myself at work. Hopefully they'll upgrade soon. :-)
